Warranty Policy

I. WARRANTY POLICY

In principle, the warranty term is one year from date of purchase. Scan Tool is warranted to the original consumer to be free of functional defects that may occur under normal operating conditions within the warranty period. If a defect occurs, the product can be returned to Carman International Co. Ltd. and will be repaired or replaced free of charge. But this warranty does not cover the following conditions. – Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, alteration, accidents, tampering, abuse, fire, war, insurrection, civil disorder, flood, acts of God or any other casualty;
– Failure of Customer to properly follow operating instructions provided by us at time of delivery; and – Damage caused by use on circuits or voltages other than indicated on the applicable nameplate.

II. WARRANTY PERIOD & COVERAGE

User acknowledges that Carman International Co. Ltd. expressly excludes any liability for the continuous availability of the Web Site. Carman International Co. Ltd. Additionally reserves the right to fully or partly stop operating and/or providing this Web Site or limits the access to it at any time and without further notice.

III. Use of the Carman International Co., Ltd Web Site and the Contents and Information provided
  1. Warranty Period for Scan tool Main body is 1 year from the date of sale to the original consumer.
  2. Return freight coverage for Scan tool Main body repair is 1 year from the date of sale to the original consumer.
  3. Warranty period for other accessories is 6 months from the date of sale to the original consumer.
  4. Return freight coverage for other accessories 6 months from the date of sale to the original consumer.
IV. WHAT IS NOT COVERED
  1. Defects judged by Carman International Co. Ltd. that it has been abused, altered, used for a purpose other than that for which it was intended, used in a manner
    inconsistent with instructions regarding its use.
  2. Very slight troubles, which are generally not accepted as caused by defects in material and workmanship, and/or difficulties which happen in a very special operation only.
  3. Warranty period for other accessories is 6 months from the date of sale to the original consumer.
  4. Loss of time, inconvenience and any other consequential damage.
Repair Service
I. PRE-CHECK AND TROUBLE SHOOTING CARD

If you suspect that you have a problem with this product, read the operation Instructions carefully to ensure that you are operating the products properly.
If you determine that a real problem exists, check your product according to the procedures on the Trouble Shooting Card and then mark your trial records in the
blanks for faster and easier repair service.

II. RETURN FOR REPAIR

If the product requires repair, package the product along with the relevant Trouble Shooting Card, and send it freight collect unless it exceeds 1 year from your purchase date to the Scan tool Service Center listed below.

When enclosing your Invoice for the Customs declaration, if it does not make any trouble or inconvenience to you, please mark the unit price less than U.S. Dollars
20 each with a clear remark that this is no commercial value for repair service. Also when you return any defective Scan tool for repair, you are recommended to inform us either by fax or E-Mail prior to return with relevant Trouble Shooting Card to arrange necessary repair schedule in advance.

III.RETURN AFTER REPAIR

Within 15 working days after the unit is received at the Scan tool Service Center, it will be diagnosed, repaired or replaced, and shipped back to you. If the unit is under warranty that lasts one year from the date of purchase, it will be repaired or replaced without cost and returned to the original consumer by freight prepaid.
But if the unit is out of the warranty, it will be repaired by service charge & freight cost, repaired for a nominal service charge plus return freight cost.
